Spider from hell... seriously

This was based in a cave spider from Africa. Nasty looking critters. I chose 6 legs instead of 8 because I think it looks better this way, less crowded. Kind of androgenic too, but still obviously can tell is a woman... or a female something. The inscription on the weapon is part of a real spell. It makes no difference, but I think it's cool add stuff like that. Hope you guys like it!

I decided to spin a little bit the character by not putting it's horns directly on the head and more in the hunch(?) / upper back area. I hope you guys like it.

This creature is a mix between a cyclops and a Rakshasa ( headless cyclopean monsters from Indian mythology). I've been studying different myths from around the world lately, for inspiration. What I have found is astounding. So far the Philippines has the most scary monsters ever! They have this Aswang creature... insane. It's a flying head with intestines hanging that at night eat babies right inside the mother's womb. Dunno how kids can sleep there.

I usually like to work with sci-fi stuff and speculative alien life forms, but this time I decided to do something more fantasy style. It's incredible how stuff works out in your mind. This pic was perfectly fantasy art until I put a glass on his face. One simple thing can change the whole feeling of the final picture.

I like the concept of Shamans. The ceremonial masks, body painting, ideology, artifacts, etc. I wanted to take the concept out of this planet to see what happened.
As with all my threads, criticism is highly encouraged. Believe me I apply critics to my jobs whenever I find they will help me to "get there". Job offers are encouraged too hehe

This design was conceived as a concept for a game. The idea was to create an old and abandoned flooded library. Plants are growing everywhere and a decaying wood and mold stench fills the air. It's a very humid place that heavily resembles a swamp. Mosquitoes, frogs and swamp life habits this micro ecosystem. Heavy rain keeps the library hoplesly flooded all year long. Town folks even talk about ghost aparitions that take place here. Ghost or not this place is scary indeed.

Done in more or less 4 hrs. An underground urban complex. I like to think it's a cave cuz I always liked the idea of an underground civilization. The goal here was to practice depth / plane divisions which is something that is not easy for me to obtain on my compossitions. I think this time I achieved something good about that.
